Neither Deirdre de Burca, Steven Agnew nor Dan Boyle were elected to the European Parliament.

The picture is brighter elsewhere in Europe where Green parties have added to their share of the vote. There are now 47 Green MEPs up from the 34 seats won in 2004. The Greens-EFA group will grow to approximately 53 seats. More information is available at http://europeangreens.eu.
